And With Some Closing Requests of Government from Mayor Court - The Night is Over

Thank you to everyone that followed along with my first live blog attempt. I am sorry for any spelling mistakes or incorrect spellings of names as I hacked away as fast as I could as to not miss anything.
All statements unless enclosed in quotation marks are paraphrases of comments and my views and opinions on tonight’s event are of course my own.

Mayor Court Asking Last Question of the Night to CBS

Asks CBS Rep if blood platelets (spelling? Sorry) quality and quantity will be the same as the rest of Canada?

CBS Rep states that platelet service will continue as it does today because of changes CBS has made to its consolidation plan. Says Saint John will recieved an enhanced service after the consolidation. Also corrects Mayor Court stating that there are more than 2 provinces exporting blood, not just NB and AB as stated earlier.

Commentor from The Floor Calls for NB Government to call Another Election

States broken promises and MLAs backing down from their previous comitments as reason enough to call another election. Gets partial standing applause.

Wonder if they will let the final speakers speak? Have to wait in see. Past president of Saint John Medical Society still speaking. Wants CBS’ guarentee that New Brunswickers will have the exact same quality of blood as the rest of Canada.
Gets response from CBS Representitive that the NB Medical Society will be working with CBS to ensure product quality.

Asks the crowd if anyone is on CBS’s side. Gets a loud NO from the crowd.

To a question from the floor the representitive from CBS states that the decision to move the Saint John facility to Nova Scotia has been made, but states again that changes have been made to their plans to keep the supply of blood in Saint John as it is today
